Trimedix Foundation Mission, 2007
In 2007, after the medical equipment was delivered to Beira from the Robert F. Kennedy Hospital (through the help and cooperation of the Seton Institute), the TriMedx Foundation, an organization based in Indianapolis, Indiana USA supporting medical technology needs around the world, sent a team of 6 clinical engineers to Mozambique. While in country, these highly specialized technicians made repairs to and installed the medical equipment donated by the Daughters of Charity (former owners of the Robert F. Kennedy Hospital in Los Angeles). Most of the equipment was installed in the Central Hospital in Beria, Mozambique. They also worked alongside and trained local laboratory personnel on the use and maintenance of the equipment.
